MY PROCESS

STEP 1: ALIGN
A quick strategy call to clarify goals, audience, and core messaging. This gives the deck a clear direction from the start.

STEP 2: DESIGN
I craft a creative direction preview: 2–3 slides that show the visual tone, flow, and story structure. Once approved, I build the full deck with clean, cohesive design.

STEP 3: FINALIZE
We polish the deck through
1–2 rounds of revisions to make sure every slide is tight, intentional, and delivers the energy your message deserves.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
To ensure the best outcome and a smooth process, a few things are required before design begins:
-
Finalized copy is required to start design work.
Deck design is built around your content using visual hierarchy, iconography, infographics, and visual storytelling. I’m happy to offer light copy refinement if something needs to be condensed or stated more clearly, but full copywriting is not included. This allows revision rounds to stay focused on storyline and design rather than foundational messaging or content development.
-
Content must be clearly organized and labeled by slide.
All copy should be provided with clear slide-by-slide direction (for example: Slide 1, Slide 2, etc.). Content may be delivered in Word, Google Docs, or a similar format. I do not determine what content goes on which slide — that structure must be defined prior to design.
-
Any existing brand guidelines must be provided upfront.
If you have established branding (logos, colors, fonts, or usage guidelines), these must be shared before design begins.
-
Design inspiration must be provided upfront if specific direction is desired.
If there are visual references, styles, or inspiration you’d like me to follow, these should be shared at the start of the project.
-
Specific infographic or data-visualization requests must be clearly noted.
If you have preferences for how an infographic, chart, or visual should look, detailed notes must be provided per slide before design begins.
-
Client-provided images and graphics must be delivered in a single zipped folder.
Any images, graphics, or visual assets you’d like included must be provided prior to design. I do not source stock imagery, and clients are responsible for owning the appropriate usage licenses for any supplied assets.
-
Data and charts must be provided in source format.
If your deck includes charts or data visualizations, please provide the original Excel or source files.
-
Consolidated feedback is required for revisions.
Feedback should be gathered internally and submitted in a single round to keep revisions efficient and focused.
-
Revisions apply to existing slides.
Additional slides or significant scope changes may require an adjusted fee.
-
Design work is completed in my native files.
Once final files are delivered, any edits made on your end are your responsibility for formatting and layout. If you’d like me to clean up or rework a file that has been edited externally, an additional fee may apply.
-
Happy to sign an NDA upon request.
